FAQ

What is an organic salon and store?
It means that we analyze all ingredients in our hair, color and skin care products to ensure that they are not hazardous to your health.

We try to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals and provide you with the highest quality of naturally derived and organically grown products that are nourishing to your scalp and skin.

Are your products hypoallergenic?
Many clients testify that they experience little or no irritation after continuous use of our hair, color and skin care products.

We also realize that each person is unique and can be allergic even to naturally derived ingredients. We always recommend a skin allergy test and to check with your doctor prior to scheduling a color service.

In the case you do experience discomfort, we take measures to minimize it. For example, we have an apple cider rinse on-hand for calming the scalp.

Do your products contain ammonia?
No. Neither will you smell any harsh chemicals, fumes or ammonia in our salon.
What are PPDs? Does your hair color contain PPDs?
PPD stands for paraphenylenediamine.

In short, PPDs are the color molecules that give permanent hair color its pigment. Our color options are low-PPD (less than .04%, compared to up to 14% in traditional hair color lines) and PPD-free.

If you suspect that you have an allergy to PPD, please schedule a complimentary consultation to review your options.

How natural is your hair color?
98% naturally derived ingredients, 70% organic ingredients.
Do your products actually work? Will your hair color cover my gray?
Yes and yes.

Our products use the latest technology available combined with intense plant-based essential oils and proteins to deliver superior coverage, radiance and health to your hair.

Is your hair color safe for pregnant women?
There are no conclusive studies that say that our hair color is unsafe for pregnant women. We do service many expectant mothers.

However, we recommend following the advice of your doctor.

For your comfort level, we can apply color in foil or mesh to keep the color off your scalp to minimize its absorption.
